This month, the Global Sisterhood hopes to share the love with another amazing, Pittsburgh-based, non-profit. The Still Remembered Project is a non-profit organization that provides Christian-based support and encouragement to parents who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death.
The Still Remembered Project accomplishes their mission by:
- Educating local medical and bereavement communities
- Providing remembrance keepsakes to families
- Holding awareness events
- Hosting a monthly peer support group meeting for bereaved mothers.
Specifically, the organization provides “Angel Gowns” made from wedding dresses, Memory Boxes for bereaved families, Sibling Bags for grieving siblings, Miscarriage Care Packages, and more. They also hold a monthly “Still Supported” group for bereaved mothers, along with other events to help families on their grief journey.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 4 U.S. women will experience a pregnancy infant loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The Still Remembered Project helps to support grieving families at the loneliest and most difficult times imaginable.
Our goal is to raise $1,000 for this wonderful organization. We know that this is a cause near and dear to many within The Global Sisterhood. We hope that you will help this incredible organization to continue providing much-needed support to bereaved families.
