At the Global Sisterhood’s Global Gala, held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, six of our members were lauded for their efforts to inspire and empower women around the world to achieve.
Inspiring Lives International announced the winners for its first annual Inspiring Lives International Awards at the event at the Westin Convention Center Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
Winners for the six awards were selected from candidates who embody the tenants of Inspiring Lives International. These winners are Captain Jaspen Boothe (Inspiration Award), Caryn Chow (Empowerment Award), Dr. Hetal Gor (Balance Award), Cheryl Liew-Chng (Global Sisterhood Award), and Inspired Women—represented by founder Debra Dion-Krischke (Inspiring Organization Award).
A special award was also presented to Hena Gul (Silent Sisters Award) to thank her for representing all the sisters around the world who are unable to speak due to adversity. Gul was unable to attend the event, but upon finding out that she had won an award, Gul said that she is looking forward to “making unique things happen around the globe.”
On the morning of the Global Gala, these six women and other members of the Global Sisterhood met for an Inspiring Lives International Mastermind session where they each presented a five-minute inspirational speech about their businesses and non-profits, followed by some time to collaborate. Videos of all the speeches will be available later this spring on the Global Sisterhood’s website.
Dr. Shellie Hipsky, president of Inspiring Lives and executive director of the Global Sisterhood, presented the awards, along with Emmy Award Winner Darieth Chisolm of Hustle and Heart TV, who acted as master of ceremonies for the event.
Dr. Hipsky’s Inspiring Lives organization provides inspiration to women through the Empowering Women Radio show, as well as her books and public speaking. All the winning women’s life stories appear in Dr. Hipsky’s international best-selling trilogy Common Threads, which explores inspiration, empowerment, and balance.
“We can achieve more as a sisterhood than each one of us can achieve alone,” Dr. Hipsky said. “I am humbled to lead such a powerful group of women. It is time to manifest world-wide self-transformations, and together we will build the Global Sisterhood.”
Congratulations to all the winners! We are all anticipating what we can achieve together with much excitement!
