The Global Gala Welcomes the World to Pittsburgh

This highly anticipated event is Pittsburgh’s premier international gala of the year on March 12th at the Westin Hotel. The gala will bring together 200 prominent business leaders, non-profit executive directors, best-selling authors, and others who are supporting the Global Sisterhood’s mission to help women and children manifest their dreams around the world! From the fashions on the runway to the delicious appetizers, respected guests, and dancing… this is not an event to be missed!

Founded by Pittsburgh native, Dr. Shellie Hipsky of Inspiring Lives International, The Global Sisterhood non-profit charity, in conjunction with The Global Gala fundraiser, provides a very special opportunity for attendees to mingle and network with distinguished guests from around the world. Many of the guests were featured in Dr. Hipsky’s International best-selling trilogy, Common Threads, based on the top 100 women who were broadcasted on her Empowering Women Radio show. Guests will be flying in from as far away as Singapore and South Africa to attend the Inspiring Lives Mastermind during the day and the red carpet Global Gala – including the Inspiring Lives Int’l awards and fashion show co-hosted by Posh Events – in the evening starting at 7:30pm. Black Tie Optional; National Dress Encouraged.

Nominations are now open for the 2016 ILI Awards. The awards will be in the following areas: Empowerment, Balance, Inspiration, Global Sisterhood, and Inspiring Organization. Deadline is February 15, 2016.

Alongside hostess Dr. Shellie Hipsky is Emmy Award-winning emcee, Darieth Chisolm. The runway show will be an international spectacular sight thanks to “Stylist of the Year” Nikole Li and Jackie Capatolla of Jacqueline’s Salon, taking charge behind the scenes. Brazilian beats will play as Lana Neumeyer’s fabulous, colorful fashions grace the runway. African drums will be heard as the Ujamaa Collection is presented, sewn with fair trade African fabrics and created in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, by designers such as Dawn Surgest. Designer Debi Weiss also brings unique pieces from Peru to light up the runway with her International Fashion Forum.
