The Global Sisterhood Charity Partnership Story

Dr. Shellie and Melissa Ferraro met through the National Women’s Interactive Network (WIN) meetings in Pittsburgh and quickly saw that they both lead charitable organizations that supported the needs of women who were homeless (in particular with Sisters Place those single mothers who were homeless). The Global Sisterhood gathered donated goods for Sisters Place to provide them with some of the things that they needed. Inspiring Lives Magazine was a media sponsor of the annual Crushed Grapes fundraising event for Sisters Place.

When Covid-19 hit, Melissa let WIN and the Global Sisterhood know that there were unique struggles for Sisters Place in quarantine. When Rev. Nettie Jordina Bullitt approached Dr. Shellie with philanthropic funding for specific Global Sisterhood Charity Partnerships, Dr. Shellie immediately explained the Sisters Place mission to serve the needs of single homeless mothers. Rev. Nettie Jo also serves as our Global Ambassador and leads her nonprofit Daughters of Deborah.

In July 2020, Sisters Place will receive a check that will help to cushion the blow of Covid-19 and support the needs of the sisters as they transition into housing and heal their lives and families. We look forward to multiple other charity collaborations with the sisters of … Sisters Place and the Global Sisterhood!
